The Regina Thunder have clinched first place in the Prairie Football Conference with a 56-3 win over the Edmonton Wildcats Sunday afternoon at Leibel Field.
Seven Regina players ran the ball 43 times in the victory for 632 yards and six touchdowns. The 620 rushing yards set a new Canadian Junior Football League record for rushing yards in a game.
Also of note from the Thunder victory was the first career touchdown run for offensive lineman Calab Barajas, who caught an 11-yard lateral.
In other Week 10 action, the Saskatoon Hilltops scored a 31-6 win over the Calgary Colts, and the Winnipeg Rifles defeated the Edmonton Huskies 47-11.
The Regina Thunder (7-1) will host the Edmonton Huskies (3-5) on Sunday October 19 at Leibel Field in a PFC semi-final.
The other semifinal will have the Saskatoon Hilltops (6-2) at home to the Winnipeg Rifles (4-4)
