The Federal NDP and the Bloc Quebecois are teaming up to voice strong concerns over proposed changes to Canada's plant breeder's rights regulations.
The Carney government is considering amendments that would limit farmer's privilege, the long standing right of farmers to save and re-use seed from their own crops.
The NDP's ag critic, Gord Johns, is pushing for parliamentary hearings to ensure transparency and public input before any changes are made.
