The 27th year for the CPKC Holiday Train will start on November 19th and will travel across Canada and the United States raising money and food for local food banks in CPKC communities. Over the years, the train has managed to raise nearly $26 million and has brought in 5.4 million pounds of food to food banks.
Once again this year there will be two trains traveling across North America. One train will start on November 19th in Montreal while a second train will start in Toronto on November 29th and head to the US, traveling as far south as Laplace, Louisiana. In Canada, the Holiday Train will go as far north as Camrose, Alberta before heading south to Calgary and eventually reaching Coquitlam, BC.
This year’s performers include country group Lanco, Jade Eagleson, J.J. Wilde, The Barenaked Ladies, American Authors, Smash Mouth, Brittany Kennell, Dylan Marlowe, Pynk Beard, Teigen Gayse, Tiera Kennedy, and Tyler Shaw.
The train will arrive in Yorkton on December 6th at 12:15pm with Teigen Gayse and Jade Eagleson performing before heading to Foam Lake, Wynyard, and Saskatoon. The train will reach Regina on December 20th at 6pm beside old Mosaic Stadium before traveling to Moose Jaw that same night, arriving at 8pm. Lanco and Tiera Kennedy will be performing on the southern Saskatchewan train.
Other Saskatchewan stops include, Estevan and Weyburn on December 19th and in Swift Current and Maple Creek on December 21st.
