A 37-year-old man has been charged following an early morning robbery involving a knife at a business on the 1100 block of Victoria Avenue East.
Police say they were called around 5:10 a.m. Thursday after a man refused to follow identification procedures, demanded property from an employee, and then showed a knife. Officers located the suspect shortly after and seized a large silver knife during a search.
The suspect was arrested without incident. Police later learned he was on probation and prohibited from possessing knives.
He is charged with robbery, failing to comply with a probation order, and two counts of breaching an undertaking. He appeared in Regina Provincial Court Thursday afternoon.
