Unity Report Oct. 7–13
RCMP received a complaint of a deceased cow in a pasture—insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a complaint of a property dispute. This matter is still under investigation.
Members received a report of a combine fire near Denzil. Macklin Fire Department extinguished the fire, which was not suspicious in nature.
RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.
An 18-year-old male from Unity was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and careless use of a firearm after members received a weapons complaint.
Police received a report of a combine fire near Unity. The fire was extinguished before the Unity Fire Department arrived. The fire was not suspicious in nature.
Members received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject of the complaint was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Unity Health Centre for assessment.
RCMP received a report of an individual knocking on a vehicle window. Members spoke to the subject of the complaint.
Police received a complaint of fraud—insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members received a report of a vehicle collision with a moose. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.
RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.
Members received a request from the Luseland Police Service to assist with an investigation.
Police received a complaint of assault, but it was unfounded.
Members received a request from Unity Health Centre to assist with a patient.
RCMP received a complaint of fraud, but it was unfounded.
There were also three traffic complaints and three false alarms.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject of the complaint was transported by members to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.
Members are investigating a complaint of sexual assault.
RCMP received a complaint of assault, but it was unfounded.
Police received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.
Members received a complaint of a stolen truck, but it was unfounded.
RCMP conducted a well-being check at the request of a concerned citizen.
Police received a complaint of criminal harassment, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
A 39-year-old man from Unity was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop.
RCMP received a report of a grain bag fire in a field. The fire was a controlled burn.
There were also two traffic complaints.
Macklin Report
RCMP received a complaint of suspicious individuals near a business. This matter is still under investigation.
A 32-year-old man from Evesham was charged with assault, forcible confinement, assault to resist arrest, resisting a Peace Officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and flight from a Peace Officer after members received a complaint of a dispute.
Members received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a complaint of an individual breaching an undertaking condition—insufficient evidence to proceed.
There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.
