REGINA — Rock band Foo Fighters are officially coming to Regina next year.
On Thursday, the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) announced the band will be performing at Mosaic Stadium on Sept. 15, 2026.
“It’s going to be absolutely incredible. It is going to be over the top,” said REAL CEO Rick Bennett.
REAL is expecting 41,000 visitors to attend the show, which will bring a huge economic impact to Regina.
“In terms of economic output, it’s going to reach probably over $25 million for that one event itself.”
While speaking on the economic impact, Bennett mentioned a shift in REAL’s approach for the touring industry.
“We’ve been a little more passive waiting for the touring industry to come to us, and we’ve flipped that on its head and actually targeted specific acts that are important to us.”
Bennett is hoping the event can showcase REAL’s ability to be “capable in the marketplace.”
Originally, the Foo Fighters were going to play at the Brandt Centre (which holds 6,000) in 2022, but cancelled their tour after the sudden death of long-time drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Bennett also hinted at one or two other performers added to the lineup as well.
Tickets for the event go on sale on Oct. 31, and prices range from $59.99 to $299.50.
As for revenue, REAL wouldn’t disclose the potential profit gained from the event.
Bennett also mentioned the uncertainty of REAL’s future is “perhaps our tariff of the sports and entertainment world” for attracting major events.
Along with Regina, the Foo Fighters will be touring 11 other locations, including Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
