CARLYLE — Another court appearance has been made by a Yorkton man, following his arrest near Carlyle, when a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and weapons.
26-year-old Austin Ross was in Carlyle Provincial Court Wednesday, Oct. 23, where he was remanded in custody to December 10.
He’s charged with more than 20 counts, including assaulting a police officer.
On March 6, Mounties pulled over a speeding vehicle, and roadside sobriety tests, which confirmed the driver had allegedly taken both cannabis and cocaine before driving.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded handgun, 133 grams of crack cocaine, 23 grams of illicit cannabis, multiple pocket knives, and drug trafficking-related items.
