SASKATOON — A 19-year-old man is in custody following a robbery on a city transit bus.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., Nov. 1, police were called to the corner of 20th Street West and Avenue J South. It was reported that a group of youth were fighting on the bus. Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman who reportedly had been assaulted and had a sweater and cell phone taken from them.
Officers located the 19 year old nearby and brought him into custody. He is facing charges of robbery (x2) and breach of probation.
The two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is not believed to be random in nature.
