Police investigating Regina’s 10th homicide of the year

REGINA — Regina police are investigating the city’s 10th homicide of 2025.

Regina Police Service says the death investigation that began early Saturday morning, Nov. 1, is now a homicide investigation.

Shortly before 1 a.m. on Nov. 1, police were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of 12^th Avenue where they located a 19-year-old male who was the victim of a gunshot wound. EMS declared the male deceased on scene. Officers secured the area and requested the additional resources of the Regina Police Service Major Crime Unit and the Regina Police Service Forensic Identification Unit.

Police say investigation has determined the death to be the a homicide. The name of the victim will not be released, at the request of the family.

The investigation continues.
