I’ve given myself a little time before I spout my feelings on the Jays run during the World Series that awoke a nation. Yes, I wanted a World Series bad for our beloved Blue Jays, but we’re going to have to wait a little longer and feed off the positivity from this year.
We have gone through every emotion in the last few months because of our passion for this beloved team of “dark horses”. Against all odds, our beloved team took us on a rollercoaster ride that connected us from coast to coast and beyond. The what if’s outweighs the should’ve, but that is the nature of the beast in competitive sports. There were moments we were on the edge of our seats, holding our breath, believing that victory was within reach only to have it grabbed from our clutches. And while one or two misplays or odd circumstances may have tipped the scales, it’s those very moments that will be talked about for years to come. This season reminded us that the journey matters just as much as the outcome.
The hope, the camaraderie, and the belief that anything is possible brought us together in ways that will last long after the final pitch. Down the road nobody will care about the outcome of that series, but everybody will remember the battle that ensued for us to get to that point.
Cheers to the memories, the resilience, and the unbreakable spirit the Jays inspired in us all. I had a few months where my world was encapsulated by the high’s and lows of the Blue Jays organization. Here’s to this unforgettable chapter—and to even greater seasons on the horizon.
I can breathe now and have released the stress/tension built up since September when we started our run for first, but I am already excited for the 2026 season!
Historic for maybe the wrong reasons but memorable for the right reasons!! GO JAYS!
