REGINA — Creative Options Regina (CRO) has received a massive cheque to help expand its programming.
The Cultural Connections Regina’s (CCR) annual Indian Night dinner managed to raise $200,000 in funds for the organization.
“This generous gift from Cultural Connections Regina will help us continue to build spaces where people feel valued, connected and supported,” said Michael Lavis, CEO of CRO. “We’re deeply grateful to the CCR team and to everyone who contributed to India Night for believing in this work and helping us strengthen inclusion across Regina.
CRO helps people experiencing disability with supports, including housing and employment.
The donation from CCR is one of many since its founding in 2017, fundraising over $1 million total to local grassroots charities and community organizations.
“Our mission has always been to bring people together through culture, compassion, and community,” said Dr. Renu Kapoor, chair of CCR. “We’re honoured to support Creative Options Regina, whose programs embody the values of inclusion and dignity that our organization stands for.”
