SASKATOON — A 22-year-old Saskatoon man is facing an aggravated assault charge following an altercation that sent another man to hospital over the weekend.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Nov. 8. At approximately 5:20 a.m., Saskatoon Police Service officers were called to the Evergreen neighbourhood, in the 400 block of Boykowich Street, after a report of an injured person.
When they arrived, they found a 24-year-old man with injuries. An initial investigation determined that the injured man had been involved in an altercation with another man. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 22-year-old was charged with aggravated assault. He was released from custody on an undertaking, with conditions, and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
