SASKATCHEWAN — Gas prices across Saskatchewan dipped slightly this week, with the provincial average sliding to 126.95 cents per litre, down 0.9 cents from last week, according to GasBuddy.
Regina’s average remained unchanged at 126.69 c/L, while Saskatoon saw a more notable decline to 125.73 c/L from 129.46 c/L. Winnipeg trended in the opposite direction, rising sharply to 131.32 c/L.
Prices in Saskatchewan remain well below last year’s levels, in line with national trends. GasBuddy reports the Canadian average has increased 1.6 cents per litre in the past week to 134.61 c/L, but still sits 12.7 cents below the same day one year ago.
Historical GasBuddy data shows significant seasonal variation in Saskatchewan’s largest centres, with Regina’s Nov. 10 prices over the past five years ranging from a high of 166.05 c/L in 2022 to a low of 98.44 c/L in 2020.
“Canada’s national average price of gasoline edged higher last week, with nearly every province seeing increases,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “The rise was driven by ongoing refinery issues across North America, particularly in the U.S. Midwest and West Coast, which tightened supply and pushed wholesale costs higher. In addition, continued draws on gasoline inventories have added upward pressure. With U.S. air travel disruptions potentially shifting fuel demand and oil prices remaining relatively firm, Canadian motorists may not see much immediate relief at the pumps this week.”
