REGINA – The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is rolling out a new daily reporting system to help residents stay informed about emergency room service disruptions across the province.
Beginning November 10, all temporary emergency service interruptions, regardless of duration, will be publicly listed on the SHA website, with updates posted daily at 4 p.m.
The online tool at saskhealthauthority.ca/servicedisruptions provides an alphabetical list of all affected facilities. Each listing links directly to the SHA’s Facilities and Locations directory for more community-specific details.
The SHA says signage will also be placed at any facility where emergency services are disrupted and HealthLine 811 will have the most up-to-date information.
The health authority notes that work is already underway to develop a more user-friendly system that will eventually offer real-time updates for patients and families.
