REGINA — The Regina Police Service, like all of Rider Nation, is gearing up for an exciting weekend as the Saskatchewan Roughriders play in the Grey Cup in Winnipeg.
The game takes place at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16.
The RPS would like to remind everyone to keep safety top of mind, no matter the outcome of the game.
- The RPS Public Safety Unit will join the regular contingent of officers on city streets to ensure everyone is making safe choices.
- Don’t Drive Impaired by Alcohol or Drugs. The RPS Traffic Safety Unit will be conducting mandatory alcohol screening on traffic stops. There are many options for a safe ride home: city transit, taxis, registered rideshare services or call a friend or family member.
- No matter where you are, please be aware of your surroundings and be respectful of both other people and property.
“We believe in both the Riders and our amazing city,” says the RPS in a press release.
“Let’s cheer loud, be safe and show this country why we are the best fans in the world.”
