Cut Knife Report – Nov. 3 to Nov. 9
Cut Knife RCMP received 66 calls for service between Nov. 3 and Nov. 9. These files included breach of peace, careless use of a firearm, failure to comply with orders, Fire Prevention Act, Liquor Act, Mental Health Act, mischiefs, impaired operation, missing persons, road side suspensions, sexual assaults, theft of vehicles, trespassing, unauthorized possession of a firearm, uttering threats and assisting other agencies.
Notable files include:
On Nov. 3, there was a report of multiple gunshots being heard on Little Pine First Nation. It was determined to be some legal hunting, and all involved had the proper possession and acquisition licence (PAL), and proper storage of firearms.
In the early hours of Nov. 5, Cut Knife RCMP had dealt with a report of a missing person on Poundmaker Cree Nation. The individual was located safe and sound.
On Nov. 5, RCMP responded to a tractor that hit powerlines. Members attended to secure the scene until SaskPower was able to disconnect the power and the driver could safely exit the tractor.
On Nov. 9, Cut Knife RCMP assisted with the large seizure of guns and illicit drugs. See the other attached media release for more details.
Twenty-one traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding violations, unregistered vehicles, warnings and a roadside suspension. Two Mental Health Act calls were responded to.

Cut Knife members attended the Remembrance Day ceremonies at Little Pine School on Nov. 6, and at the Poundmaker and Cut Knife schools on Nov. 7.
Unity Report Nov. 4 to Nov. 10
RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject of complaint was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
Members received a request from Emergency Medical Services to assist with a patient.
Police received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.
A 30-year-old male from Unity was charged with assault police officer, resist peace officer, criminal harassment and two counts of uttering threats after members received a complaint of assault.
RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a complaint of breach of peace. Members spoke to the subjects of complaint.
Members received a complaint of an individual failing to comply with an undertaking condition, but it was unfounded.
RCMP spoke to an individual regarding a child custody dispute.
Police received a complaint of a break and enter, but it was unfounded.
Members attended the sudden death of an 89-year-old male from Unity. The death was not suspicious in nature.
RCMP received a complaint of trespassing, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a complaint of individuals egging a residence. Members located the subjects of complaint who agreed to clean the mess and apologize to the property owner.
Members received a complaint of criminal harassment. This matter is still under investigation.
RCMP received a complaint of breach of peace. Members spoke to the complainant and the subject of the complaint.
Police received a complaint of an individual breaking into a vehicle, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members received a complaint of two stolen ATVs from a rural area near Wilkie, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
There were also two traffic complaints.
Macklin Report
RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.
Police located an abandoned vehicle on Highway 14 near Macklin. Members contacted the registered owner, who agreed to move it.
There was also one traffic complaint.
