REGINA–The taste of victory is sweet, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders want to share that experience with their fans today, as the club celebrates a Grey Cup win.
The team arrived back in Regina yesterday afternoon, and staged a quick greet with fans at Mosaic Stadium where the players showed off the Grey Cup Rider Nation has been cherishing.
Today, is the main event.
The “Official Championship Parade” is set for 2 o’clock this afternoon.
Fans should line up along the “Green Mile” on Albert Street and 12th, which is where the parade will begin. The players, driven by members of the Canadian Armed Forces, will drive along Albert Street to the Legislature, where there will be a celebration with speeches around 3 o’clock.
Head Coach Corey Mace, and Grey Cup Most Outstanding Player Trevor Harris are expected to say a few words.
Expect some traffic delays along Albert Street this afternoon. Fans are being encouraged to make sure they do not park on Albert, and try and park in one of the nearby neighbourhood.
Everyone should dress warm, and celebrate safely.
