Officers received a report on Nov. 19 and later located the deer in a tree row, where it had been dragged a short distance and abandoned. Evidence was collected at the scene.
Investigators believe the animal was shot on either Nov. 17 or 18.
A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of those responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the province’s toll-free Turn in Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) line at 1-800-667-7561. Calls are not traced or recorded, and tipsters may remain anonymous.
