Underutilized Land Improvement Strategy update:
City administration will present a five-year update on the city’s Underutilized Land Improvement (ULIS)
“The purpose of the ULIS is to determine the goals and actions for the City to encourage investment in vacant and underutilized sites,” notes the report.
Since 2020, the city has redeveloped 47 ULIS lots. The total building permit value of construction for those lots was over $97.2 million. The developments created 361 dwelling units and resulted in approximately 75,400 square feet of new non-residential buildings.
Looking ahead, the city is currently working on 37 ULIS projects, with five yet to be started.
The city will provide a new ULIS report in 2031.
