The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed University of Saskatchewan Huskies receiver Daniel Wiebe.
Wiebe, the eight-round pick (69th overall), was the 2025 Canada West Football Player of the Year and led the Huskies to the Vanier Cup.
The five-foot-nine, 190-pound receiver grew up in Rosetown, Saskatchewan and spent five seasons with the U of S. His final campaign was nothing short of dominant: 78 catches, 1,257 yards, 13 touchdowns, and a 16.1 yards-per-catch average. That performance not only earned him his second straight First Team All-Canadian nod but also made him a finalist for the Hec Crighton Trophy, the top honour in Canadian university football.
After the 2024 season, Wiebe punched his ticket to both the East-West Bowl and the 2025 CFL Combine, where he laid down a 4.52-second 40-yard dash.
In his five seasons with the Huskies, Wiebe made 217 receptions for 3,065 yards and scored a school record 27 touchdowns.
