REGINA — A stolen vehicle investigation in Regina’s north end led to charges against a 38-year-old woman after police responded to reports of a possible impaired driver early Thursday morning.
At approximately 7 a.m. on Nov. 27, Regina Police Service (RPS) officers were called to the parking lot of a business in the Normanview neighbourhood in the 300 block of McCarthy Boulevard North. When they arrived, they found a truck with a man and a woman parked in the lot.
Police say the man got out of the vehicle and started walking away as officers approached. A quick check by police revealed the truck had been reported stolen the day before. Officers ordered the woman driver out of the vehicle, but she refused repeated commands to exit.
A police service dog was used to help take the woman into custody. She was later taken to hospital by EMS for treatment of minor injuries consistent with a dog bite. The man was arrested without incident.
She was charged with theft of a vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime valued under $5,000. She is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Jan. 6, 2026.
