MEADOW LAKE — Update, Dec. 2: As a result of the continued investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, in consultation with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, have determined the death of the 29-year-old woman, from Waterhen Lake First Nation, to be non-suspicious in nature.
As there is no criminality involved in this investigation, police say they will not be sharing further details to be mindful of the privacy of the victim and those involved.
Original post, Nov. 29: RCMP are investigating what has been determined to be the suspicious death of a woman in Meadow Lake.
On Nov. 28, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Meadow Lake RCMP say, they received a report of an unresponsive person in a parking lot near the junction of Highway 4 and 1 Ave W. in Meadow Lake. They responded to find a 29-year-old woman from Waterhen Lake First Nation, who was declared deceased at the scene. Police say her family has been notified.
