REGINA — Average retail gasoline prices in Regina have fallen 3.0 c/L in the past week, averaging 126.06 c/L Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 82 gas outlets in Regina. This compares with the national average that has fallen 3.5 c/L in the last week to 130.15 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
“Canada’s national average price of gasoline continued to decline over the last week, with all provinces seeing lower prices,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “The trend has been driven by seasonally weaker demand, stable oil prices, and improved refinery output — particularly in the U.S. Midwest, which supplies much of the Prairies. Even a few stations have now dipped below $1 per litre, a threshold not seen in years, and we may see a few more stations in select provinces hit that mark in the weeks ahead. Barring any major disruptions, Canadians could continue to enjoy further relief at the pump as we approach the end of the year.”
Including the change in gas prices in Regina during the past week, prices yesterday were 19.6 c/L lower than the same day one year ago and are 0.6 c/L lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 3.3 c/L during the last month and stands 17.4 c/L lower than this day one year ago.
