REGINA — A Regina man has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for the city’s first homicide of 2025.
Dennis Trevor Hotomanie, 40, was sentenced in Regina Provincial Court on Nov. 26 after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the death of 46-year-old Terrance Hotomanie of Carry the Kettle First Nation.
Hotomanie was initially charged with first-degree murder, but the charge was reduced to manslaughter on Nov. 18. He elected to be tried by a provincial court judge.

In addition to prison time, he was banned from owning firearms for life and ordered to provide a DNA sample.
