SASKATOON — Police have arrested two men following an armed robbery of a delivery driver in the parking lot of a restaurant in the area of the Confederation Mall on Sunday.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) officers were called to the parking lot in the 300 block of Confederation Drive at approximately 4 a.m. on Nov. 30. A 29-year-old man, who was a delivery driver, told police that he was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by a man wearing a balaclava and holding a gun. The suspect opened the vehicle door and stole food items.
Responding officers found a silver Infiniti sedan in the same parking lot and took the two men in the vehicle into custody. Police say the 18-year-old was in possession of a C02 pistol. He was charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon, and breach of court conditions.
The 20-year-old driver was found to be breaching his court conditions and was charged.
Police say the victim wasn’t physically injured.
