SASKATOON — A loaded-sawed off rifle was discovered in a stolen vehicle that was found using a GPS tracker on Monday evening.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on Dec. 1, Saskatoon police were notified of the vehicle’s location by a third-party GPS monitoring service. Officers located the running vehicle in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood in the 1400 block of 22nd Street West and observed people inside.
A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and four people were arrested without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed the weapon.
As a result, two men, age 24 and 34, and two women, age 29 and 36, have been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and several firearms-related offences.
