PRINCE ALBERT — A 56-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Lyle Ballantyne was back in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Dec. 3.
Calvin J. Jobb faces the charge in connection with an incident on July 31.
According to Prince Albert Police Service, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 500 block of 39th Street West in the West Hill neighbourhood just before 9 a.m. that day. When they arrived on scene they found Ballantyne dead.
In addition to the murder charge, Jobb is charged with uttering death threats and failing to comply with a probation order.
The case was adjourned to Dec. 17.
