The Green and White kept the offseason momentum rolling on Wednesday, making a pair of additions to the offensive side of the football.
The Riders dipped into the NCAA record books to land receiver Collin Brunstein, one of the most prolific pass-catchers in U.S. college football history.
Brunstein exits Illinois College as the all-time school leader in receiving yards (5,047) and touchdowns (77). That touchdown total isn’t just a school record, it’s the NCAA career record across all divisions.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Jacksonville, Illinois, product put together a 2024 senior season for the ages: 73 catches, 1,540 yards, and 27 touchdowns, leading the nation in all three categories. He was named a Second-Team All-American and earned invitations to the Los Angeles Chargers Rookie Mini-Camp and the FBS Tropical Bowl.
Brunstein’s junior season might have been even more eye-popping: 91 receptions, 2,200 yards, and 31 touchdowns in 2023, setting both Illinois College and Midwest Conference single-season records.
The Riders didn't stop there.
The green and white have also brought back American running back Marcus Major Jr. The hard-charging American tailback returns to Saskatchewan after a 2025 stint on the practice roster. Major Jr. spent time with the Baltimore Ravens after going undrafted last spring, earning reps through training camp before landing north of the border. Now, the Riders get another look at a physical, downhill runner who’s hungry to prove he belongs.
Major brings Big Ten experience with him from his senior year at the University of Minnesota, where he logged 371 rushing yards, three touchdowns, and added another score through the air. Before that, he spent five seasons at Oklahoma, appearing in 35 games and piling up more than 800 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. His 2022 campaign with the Sooners resulted in 227 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
