MAIDSTONE — Maidstone RCMP are asking the public to watch out for a suspicious vehicle and persons, considered armed and dangerous. This is after a report of an attempted robbery from the yard of a private residence east of Alcurve.
The suspect vehicle is described as a light silver/grey Ford F150 truck, possibly a 2010 model, with factory rims, and significant damage to the front passenger side. RCMP say that if you see this vehicle or any suspicious persons, do not approach them, but report the sighting to Maidstone RCMP immediately by calling 310-RCMP.
RCMP say that on Dec. 6, at approximately 4:55 p.m., they received a report of three unknown suspects entering a yard in a vehicle. When the homeowner made their presence known to the suspects, say police, a firearm was discharged in their direction of the homeowner. Before fleeing, the Ford rammed a vehicle belonging to the homeowner, resulting in the damage in the vehicle description. RCMP say the direction of travel is not known.
