SASKATOON — A 46-year-old man accused of placing GPS trackers on vehicles remains in custody since his arrest in January.
Court records show Marty Glenn Schira is facing 116 charges, including harassment, intimidation, fraudulent concealment, and mischief.
Schira had an appearance scheduled in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Dec.6, where his matter was adjourned to Dec. 12.
According to Saskatoon Police Service, the investigation began in September 2024, when a citizen reported finding two GPS trackers attached to his vehicle. Police executed a search warrant at an apartment in the Riversdale neighbourhood, in the 2000 block of 20th Street West, where several more GPS trackers were located.
In January, SPS said Schira had been arrested and faced 36 charges. At that time, police said they had identified seven instances of GPS trackers discovered on vehicles. The devices, wrapped in black tape, were found inside the fender of the vehicle. Since then, more victims and trackers have been identified.
