REGINA — A record-breaking total was set by the Regina area's Holiday Smile Cookie campaign.
Between Nov. 17-23, the campaign ran for Tim Hortons locations in Regina, Balgoine and Emerald Park, with proceeds split between the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and Regina's Ehrlo Sport Venture.
A total of nearly $120,000 was raised. Of that amount, $59,855 went towards the Ehrlo Sport Venture, which was $15,000 more than last year.
The Ehrlo Sport Venture consists of five free community sports leagues, including the Ehrlo Basketball League, Monday Night Football League, Outdoor Hockey League, Soccer League, and Ehrlo Baseball Rookie League.
As part of the venture, sports equipment can be borrowed free of charge.
According to their website, the venture helps support hundreds of kids annually.
