ALBERTA — In a multi-jurisdictional effort, Alberta RCMP provided crucial support to Onion Lake, Sask., RCMP on Dec. 10. It resulted with arrests in Elk Point, Alta., including the arrest of high-ranking street gang member Courtlin Littlewolfe.
At about 2:20 p.m., Elk Point RCMP attempted to stop a vehicle in the Frog Lake area, that was believed to be connected to a drug trafficking and weapons investigation from Saskatchewan.
The driver refused to stop, fleeing from police. Additional units responded, and a tire deflation device was successfully deployed, disabling the vehicle.

The suspects were arrested without incident after the vehicle came to a stop a short while later.
A search of the vehicle and its occupants led to the seizure of brass knuckles, ammunition, suspected methamphetamine packaged in a way consistent with drug trafficking, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Community members then approached officers saying that two firearms had been thrown from the vehicle in the area where the tire deflation device was deployed. Police say the occupants admitted to them that the firearms were thrown from their vehicle. Further inspection of the shotgun and rifle revealed tampered serial numbers as well as illegal modifications.

Courtlin Littlewolfe, 39, and Warren Littlewolfe, 35, both residents of Onion Lake Cree Nation, have been charged with flight from police, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon contrary to an order, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and 22 additional firearm-related offences.
They were brought before a justice of the peace and remanded in custody. They are scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in St. Paul on Dec. 18.
“We would like to start by thanking the members of the public who made sure that we were aware of the firearms that had been thrown our of the vehicle, thus ensuring the safety of the community,” said Cst. Nicholas Couture of the Elk Point RCMP Detachment. “We take the safety of our community very seriously and will keep working proactively, using information from the public, our partners and other RCMP detachments, be they in Alberta or otherwise, to find and arrest those responsible for causing harm to others."
Background on Courtlin Littlewolfe
Court records show that Courtlin LIttlewolfe also goes by the name of Courtlin Whitstone.
Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court previously heard that he is a high-ranking member of the Westside Outlawz street gang based out of Onion Lake, which has branched out to other parts of both Saskatchewan and Alberta.
In November 2024, both Courtlin Littlewolfe and Warren Littlewolfe were arrested after a high-speed chase near Loon Lake, Sask. Police seized crystal methamphetamine, ammunition, brass knuckles, and other weapons. He was charged with multiple offences, including flight from police, possession of a firearm while prohibited, and trafficking methamphetamine.

Numerous drug trafficking and weapons-related offences against Littlewolfe have been stayed or withdrawn in Saskatchewan and Alberta courts.

In March 2022, he was sentenced in Lloydminster court to 10 months in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of obstruction of a peace officer, three counts of failing to appear in court, and driving while prohibited.
