SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN — Environment Canada says strong winds that may cause damage are expected for the south of Saskatchewan, including Regina, Moose Jaw, Estevan and Weyburn and more.
A post on SaskAlert indicates strong northwest winds with gusts to 90 km/h are expected to develop overnight Monday or Tuesday morning as a strong cold front sweeps across the region. Mild temperatures Monday night will give way to falling temperatures on Tuesday, as colder air floods across the area. The strong winds will diminish later in the day Tuesday.
Some areas will see reduced visibility in blowing snow on Tuesday as well.
Local utility outages are possible, says SaskAlert, adding that driving conditions will likely be difficult.
