WASKESIU – Waskesiu RCMP are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian.
On Dec. 14 at approximately 8 p.m., Waskesiu RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision involving an SUV and a pedestrian on Highway 969 near Waskesiu.
Officers immediately responded. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS. He has been identified as a 35-year-old man, from Montreal Lake. His family has been notified.
The adult female driver of the SUV remained at the scene. She did not report any injuries to police. Impairment is not believed to be a factor.
Waskesiu RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
