LLOYDMINSTER — Lloydminster RCMP are releasing photos of two people suspected of passing counterfeit money and ask the public their help identifying them.
According to Lloydminster RCMP, between July 1 and Dec. 12 this year, they received 17 reports of counterfeit banknotes being passed at local businesses in Lloydminster. Similar occurrences have also been reported in the Edmonton area. Investigators believe these incidents may be related.
The investigation has revealed two suspects, one male and one female, who are believed to have attended retail businesses and made purchases using counterfeit currency.
