The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian defensive back Jayden Dalke to a one-year contract extension through the 2026 CFL season.
The six-foot-one, 200-pound Dalke rejoins the Riders after a 2025 campaign in which he recorded three defensive tackles and 13 special teams tackles in 18 regular-season games for the 112th Grey Cup champions.
The Leduc, Alta. native was selected by Saskatchewan in the fifth round, 54th overall during the 2022 CFL Draft. He suited up for all 18 regular season games in his rookie season. In 2024, Dalke recorded 14 total tackles, one sack and one forced fumble over 16 regular season games. In 2023, he registered 44 total tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception over 14 games.
Dalke played three seasons with the University of Alberta Golden Bears. During 16 games, he recorded 94 tackles, two for a loss, seven pass breakups, three interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In his senior season, Dalke earned recognition as a Canada West first-team all-star and a U Sports second-team All-Canadian. In 2019, he was unanimously selected as a Canada West first-team all-star.
Before his university career, Dalke played for the Prairie Football Conference’s Edmonton Wildcats from 2015 to 2018, recording 165 defensive tackles over 32 Canadian Junior Football League games.
