REGINA — Average retail gasoline prices in Regina have fallen 2.9 c/L in the past week, averaging 121.38 c/L Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 82 gas outlets in Regina.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.1 c/L in the last week to 122.77 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
“For a fourth straight week, the national average price of gasoline in Canada has continued to decline, setting the stage for some of the lowest seasonal gas prices in five years,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “The national average is now at its lowest level since March 2021, with prices falling in every province except Manitoba, which saw a modest increase. Oil prices remain under pressure amid rising U.S., Canadian, and OPEC+ oil production, while refinery output is holding near some of the highest seasonal levels in years — factors that are likely to keep gas prices challenged in the weeks ahead. In fact, a handful of stations in Alberta have already dipped below the $1-per-litre mark, underscoring the extent of the price relief Canadians are seeing.”
Including the change in gas prices in Regina during the past week, prices yesterday were 24.1 c/L lower than the same day one year ago and are 8.6 c/L lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 12.0 c/L during the last month and stands 24.7 c/L lower than this day one year ago.
