MELFORT – Melfort RCMP are investigating a break and enter at a residence in Melfort.
On Dec. 8 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Melfort RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a residence on the 400 block of Burrows Avenue East in Melfort.
The investigation determined an individual entered the residence and rummaged through it sometime between 6 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. on Dec. 8. A polaroid camera was reported as stolen to police.
Officers collected and reviewed video surveillance in the area and determined an individual, believed to be male, was seen walking through a business parking lot on Saskatchewan Avenue just before 8 p.m. The male was wearing dark-coloured clothing, including a black Crooks and Castle hoodie and a Champion backpack. A photo of the man is shown. Police would like to speak with the man who may have information about this investigation.
Anyone with information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the 400 block area of Burrows Avenue East on the evening of Dec. 8, is asked to contact police by calling 310-RCMP.
