Cut Knife Report Dec. 15 to 21
Cut Knife RCMP received 50 calls for service from Dec. 15 to Dec. 21. These files included well-being checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assaults, assault with weapon/ causing bodily harm, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, thefts, uttering threats, harassing communication, motor vehicle collisions, Mental Health Acts, 911 Acts, and assisting other agencies.

On Dec. 17, Cut Knife RCMP received reports of a stolen laptop and sunglasses stolen from a truck, followed by a second report of a stolen welding unit in the community of Neilburg. Video surveillance has assisted with this investigation, as the theft occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 17. RCMP is still seeking the public's assistance with any other information or if any other video surveillance is available in the community.
On Dec. 18, Cut Knife RCMP were making a patrol by Marsden when a vehicle passed them at high rates of speed over 180 km/h. The suspect vehicle fled from police, going through the community of Cut Knife. The suspect vehicle was later located with additional assistance from Sweetgrass Security and North Battleford RCMP. A spike belt was successfully deployed, and three individuals were arrested. One of the suspects, a 35-year-old male, is a suspect in other property theft investigations.
On Dec. 19, RCMP members responded to a call involving an assault where the victim was assaulted and choked. A 26-year-old male has been charged with assault while choking and is currently under investigation. A warrant has been issued for the accused.
Forty-four traffic stops were made, resulting in tickets and warnings. Cut Knife members responded to one alarm call.

Cut Knife members had attended the Cut Knife Collective Christmas Event and assisted in serving hot chocolate and cookies during the open house.

Unity Report Dec. 16 to 22
RCMP spoke to an individual regarding a municipal bylaw. A referral was made to the Town of Unity.
CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.
Police received a complaint of an individual damaging residential property. Reported for information purposes.
Members are investigating a complaint of an individual taking a motor vehicle without consent.
RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.
Members received a request from Alberta Crown Prosecution to serve a court document to an individual in the detachment area.
Police received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.
RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of the complaint.
There were also four traffic complaints, two false alarms and one false 911 call.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence, but it was unfounded.
Members received a report of an individual not complying with an undertaking condition, but it was unfounded.
Police received a complaint of theft, but it was unfounded.
RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of the complaint.
A 43-year-old male from Wilkie was charged with assault, uttering threats, mischief and failing to comply with a probation order after members received a complaint of assault.
Members are investigating a complaint of a break and enter at a residence.
Police received a complaint of fraud, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.
Members received a report of an individual in possession of stolen property, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police conducted a well-being check at the request of an employer.
A 34-year-old male from Mosquito First Nation was charged with overcoming resistance to the commission of an indictable offence, assault, and uttering threats.
There was also one traffic complaint and one false 911 call.
Macklin Report
RCMP attended the sudden death of a 97-year-old female from Macklin. The death was not suspicious in nature.
Members received a report of an individual in possession of stolen property. The property was returned to the owner. No further police action required.
Police received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members located the subject of complaint and transported them to a motel.
RCMP received a report of an individual cutting a gate lock at the Town of Macklin Public Works yard. Reported for information purposes.
There was also one traffic complaint.
