LLOYDMINSTER — Lloydminster RCMP have charged two people after officers executed a drug-related search warrant at a hotel room in the city on Dec. 17.
According to police, members of the Lloydminster RCMP Crime Reduction Unit carried out the search as part of an ongoing drug investigation. Officers reported seizing cocaine, cash and drug-trafficking paraphernalia from the room.
Two Lloydminster residents were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
They were brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. They are to appear before the Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Jan. 13, 2026.
“This search warrant is part of our continued commitment to targeting drug trafficking and associated criminal activity in our community,” said Cpl. Jason DeCoste of the Lloydminster Crime Reduction Unit. “We will continue to proactively investigate these crimes and ask that any member of the public, who has information on criminal activity, please call the Lloydminster RCMP.”
