SASKATOON – A 36-year-old man is recovering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a machete attack inside a downtown apartment on New Year’s Eve.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) is now seeking the suspect who fled prior to officers arriving. According to SPS, shortly after 8 a.m. on Dec. 31, a male entered a suite in an apartment building in the city’s Riversdale neighbourhood, in the 1900 block of 22nd Street West, and used a machete to attack the man.
The SPS Serious Assault Unit is investigating.
