SASKATOON — A man and a woman are facing drug and weapon charges following a coordinated police operation in Saskatoon on New Year’s Eve.
The Saskatoon Police Service Guns & Gangs Unit led the investigation, which resulted in the arrests in the 2000 block of Airport Drive on Dec. 31. They were assisted by Patrol, Tactical Support, and Warrant Enforcement Units.
After searching the location, police seized 24.29g of cocaine, 36.03g of methamphetamine, 59.11ml of GHB, bear spray, various prescription medications, drug paraphernalia and other items associated to the trafficking of illicit drugs.
The 27-year-old man faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, and GHB, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of a dangerous weapon, and five counts of breaching court-imposed conditions.
The 44-year-old woman is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, and GHB.
