CUT KNIFE — The Cut Knife RCMP received 58 calls for service between Dec. 28, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026. These files included well-being checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assault, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, theft, uttering threats, mischief to a motor vehicle, harassing communication, collision, Firearms Act, 911 Act, missing person, theft and assisting another agencies and public.
Notable files include: On Dec. 29, Cut Knife RCMP received a call about a 2010 Ford F150 with Saskatchewan plate 308HMA stolen out of the RM of Hillsdale. The theft may have occurred over the past couple of weeks. The vehicle has not been located and the investigation is still ongoing.
On Dec. 30, members received a call for a missing 29-year-old female. Cut Knife RCMP members were able to locate her safely.
The last file Cut Knife RCMP dealt with in 2025 was of an intoxicated person leaving their residence, trying to walk to North Battleford and was afraid they would be hit due to their state. They were located and taken somewhere safe for the night.
The first call of 2026 that Cut Knife RCMP tended to was of a male and female voices heard outside the complainant’s house. The complainant was too scared to look out to see who they were. Also, the male and female may have set off some fireworks.
On Jan. 1, Cut Knife RCMP had responded to a call of spicy air at the Country Roads motel. Investigation revealed that some individuals were bear-maced. The suspect had been taken into custody.
Sixteen traffic stops were made, resulting in tickets, warnings, impaired and roadside suspensions. Members attended four Mental Health Act calls, and one alarm call
