With the final stones thrown and the championships decided, the 2026 SaskTel Tankard and Bunge Prairie Pinnacle will be remembered as a resounding success on every level.
Congratulations to Team Knapp and Team Campbell, Saskatchewan’s new provincial champions. Both teams navigated a demanding week of high-pressure curling, delivering when it mattered most. These were earned titles, the result of consistency, execution, and mental toughness against the very best the province has to offer.
But this week was about more than just the results on the ice.
The city of Melville proved once again why Saskatchewan is such fertile ground for this sport. The host committee, backed by hundreds of volunteers, delivered a first-class provincial championship. From ice preparation to event operations, the attention to detail was evident, and the pride in hosting was unmistakable.
Curling is a game rooted in community, and this week was a perfect example of that. Volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, creating an atmosphere that allowed athletes to compete at their best and fans to feel connected to something special.
It was a great week of curling — competitive, memorable, and meaningful.
Congratulations to Team Knapp and Team Campbell, and a well-earned thank you to Melville for setting a standard that will be hard to match.
