SASKATOON — Three people are facing weapons and drug-related charges following a late-night traffic stop by the Saskatoon Police Warrant Enforcement Unit (WEU).
The incident occurred shortly before midnight on Jan. 9 in the 100 block of Avenue L South. Members of the specialized unit conducted a stop on a vehicle, leading to an investigation.
During the search, police say they discovered a sawed-off rifle, a replica firearm, brass knuckles, bear spray, and methamphetamine.
As a result of the discovery, two of the vehicle’s occupants, a 30-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, face multiple weapon charges.
The woman was found to be unlawfully at large and arrested.
A 24-year-old woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
