SASKATOON — A 45-year-old old man, Brandon Taylor Moore, who is charged with hate-related offences, appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Jan. 13. His case was adjourned to Feb. 24.
Court documents show Moore now faces two additional charges, including wilfully promoting antisemitism by condoning, denying or downplaying the Holocaust, and promoting hatred against an identifiable group.
He was previously charged in December 2025 with incitement of hatred and unsafe storage of a firearm.
According to Saskatoon Police Service, the investigation began in 2024 after officers received a complaint about anti-Semitic comments posted online. Police say they identified a suspect and executed a search warrant at a Saskatoon home, seizing digital evidence and a firearm.
In a Jan. 14 media release, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) said it welcomes the new charges against Moore.
“These posts are not mere ‘opinion’ – they are dehumanizing, vilifying and threatening, and are designed to incite hate and hostility against the entire Jewish community,” said Jaime Kirzner-Roberts, FSWC’s senior director of policy and advocacy.
Moore has a social media following of approximately 181,000 users on X.
The charges against him haven’t been proven in court.
