SASKATOON — Police are investigating after a woman was bear sprayed and robbed during what was supposed to be a cellphone sale in Saskatoon’s Fairhaven neighbourhood Sunday night.
Officers were called around 9 p.m. on Jan. 18 to an apartment building parking lot in the 3800 block of Fairlight Drive. Police say a 26-year-old woman reported she had arranged to meet a man to sell a phone after the two connected on social media.
When she arrived, police say the man bear sprayed her, stole the phone and ran from the area.
The suspect is described as a Black man in his early 20s with braided hair. He was wearing a black sweater with white print and stained grey sweatpants.
