The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian defensive lineman Lake Korte-Moore to a one-year contract extension for the 2026 CFL season.
The six-foot-four, 262-pound Korte-Moore was selected by the Riders in the first round, third
During his rookie year in 2023, Korte-Moore recorded 13 defensive tackles, one sack, one pass knockdown and one special teams tackle in 18 regular season games. He played in 16 regular season games in 2024, recording 14 defensive tackles, including one for a loss, one sack and one fumble recovery. Last year, the 26-year-old made two defensive tackles, one fumble recovery and one special teams tackle before sustaining a season-ending knee injury.
Korte-Moore spent four collegiate seasons (2018-2022) at the University of British Columbia, posting 110 defensive tackles, 23 for loss, 10 sacks, eight pass knockdowns, three forced fumbles and two interceptions in 34 games. He was a Canada West all-star in 2022 after a breakout season, logging a collegiate single-season career-high 48 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and six sacks.
The athletic defensive lineman participated in the 2023 College Gridiron Showcase and posted the highest vertical jump among defensive linemen at the 2023 CFL Combine.
