BEECHY — Police are investigating after a pair of break-and-enter incidents at community rinks in the local area.
The Rosetown RCMP are looking into the matter, which began after police received a report at around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 3 of a break-and-enter at the rink in the village of Kyle. Investigators say than an unknown individual entered the building and stole a sum of cash and various items.
From there, a second break-and-enter incident was reported on Jan. 19 at around 7:30 a.m., this time taking place at the rink in the village of Beechy. RCMP say an unknown individual entered the rink and stole cash from an ATM.
Images that have been forwarded to investigators, including a number of photos that have been circulating on social media, are now part of the ongoing investigation by police.

Two such images taken from the Beechy incident, believed to have taken place late in the middle of the night, clearly shows the suspect's face.
Police say that both incidents remain under investigation and a possible connection between the two break-ins has not been confirmed at this time.
