LLOYDMINSTER — A 40-year-old woman wanted in connection with a December assault investigation has been released from custody following a bail hearing in Lloydminster Provincial Court.
Amanda Ironstand appeared in court on Jan. 22 and was granted bail. She is scheduled to return on Feb. 9 to enter an election and plea.
Ironstand was arrested on Jan. 16 at a home in Lloydminster. Police say a search of the residence following her arrest revealed a baton as well as quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl. She now faces additional charges, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
Her arrest came after Lloydminster RCMP issued a warrant earlier in January in connection with an assault reported on Dec. 26, 2025. Officers responded to a home in the 4400 block of 46 Street on the Saskatchewan side of the city. With assistance from the Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section and the Forensic Identification Section, officers executed a search warrant as part of the investigation.
Ironstand was identified as the suspect and charged with assault with a weapon, theft under $5,000, and forcible confinement.
